Mark Zuckerberg famously quipped that Facebook is a once-in-a-century technology, implying that he was right up there with Gutenberg or Ford.
At the time, I scoffed at the arrogance of such a statement, but now that I've watched this video, I'm not so sure.

The video and Mark's comments are flattering to themselves. But they don't even listen to their own message.
People made their success. Not them. Facebook is as basic as a site could be. Their is nothing genius there. It had all been done before and better. But it gained a population thanks to how easy to use it was. The population drove the population even higher.
Thank the users. Not the creators. Afterall, like myspace, they can destroy you quickly.

The battle of ideas is not won or lost in Congress, or even in elections, but in the long assessment of history. Just ask Qeng Ho.
